Day 38 Nhanabwe - Pomene

January 16, 2016
After few nice and relaxing days, we decided to move on. We had a Couchsurfing friend in Maputo, so we were on the way to visit and stay with him. We left our camp, and little jack russell that was our friend during the stay was sitting there and saying goodbye to us. It was so sad...:(
To get to Inhassoro we took coastal road this time and drove on the sand:
We met some fishermen pulling nets:
Went through Vilanculos once again and then back to main road. We turned off the main road near Nhanchengue and there was beautiful small sandy dirt road:
Soon after we saw bunch of people stuck on the road:
Their car was broken. But the guys knew what to do, but they didn't have a jack, so we stopped and landed them ours. They were eager to be on the camera, so they asked us to take some photos of them :)
After a while the car was fixed and we headed towards Pomene Nature Reserve:
Nature and scenery was really beautiful. Really wild, no people. Some monkeys and baboons and lots of birds. The road got more narrow and sandier:
There was a swamp on one side of the road:
Finally we arrived to the lodge, and no surprise, we were again the only ones camping there:
Later on the evening we cooked some dinner: pineapple and mango risotto! Was delicious :)
We camped not too far from the sea, but not too close to hear the waves:
